YouTube science lessons

Science lessons can be fun and creative as well as educational. A new campaign called Your Science will showcase five exciting science experiments filmed in schools around the country to establish the nation’s favourite.

The most popular video will be replicated on a large scale at the Train to Teach events in February and March 2009.

The experiments illustrate the varied and exciting ways that science is being taught, and aim to help recruit a further 6,600 science teachers over the next two years. In a poll commissioned by the TDA, 57 per cent of respondents believed that lessons could be improved by showing how science is applied outside the classroom.

The exciting and real experiments illustrate how science is being taught in classrooms today, from screaming jelly babies to fluids dancing to a bass amplifier.

Watch the five experiments on YouTube , feel inspired and help us to discover the nation’s favourite.
